Information on Whistleblowing

Legislative Decree of 10 March 2023, no. 24 «Implementation of the directive (EU) 2019/1937 of the European Parliament and the Council on the protection of persons who report breaches of Union law and laying down provisions concerning the protection of persons who report violations of national laws», governs the protection of persons who report violations of national or European Union provisions which damage the public interest or the integrity of private entities and which they have come known in the context of the work context (so-called “whistleblowing”).

In compliance with the aforementioned decree, Human Technopole Foundation (HT) set up an internal channel for written and oral (through a voice messaging system) reporting of violations. Through this portal, the channel allows the sending of information (even anonymously), including well-founded suspicions, regarding violations committed or which, on the basis of concrete elements, could be committed in HT as well as elements regarding conduct aimed at concealing such violations.

With regard to oral internal reporting of violations, at the request of the reporting person, HT allows the reporting also to be made through an in-person meeting to be set in reasonable time.

We also inform that Legislative Decree 24/2023 provides for the activation of an external reporting channel managed by the Italian National Anti-Corruption Authority (ANAC). This external reporting channel can only be used when specific conditions established by the decree itself are met. Detailed information relating to the channel, procedures and conditions for making external reports are published in a dedicated section of ANAC institutional website.

The management of internal reports takes place in accordance with the provisions in force and the specific regulation adopted by HT (the latter is available on the HT intranet as well as at the link below and contains further detailed information relating to the channel, procedures and conditions to make internal reports). In the management of the reports, the confidentiality of the identity of the reporting party is guaranteed as well as its protection against retaliatory or discriminatory acts, direct or indirect, for reasons connected to the report, which are prohibited and in any case null and void.
